Abstracts invited for stormwater, urban water systems modeling conference
GUELPH, ONT-Computational Hydraulics International has issued a call for abstracts for the 41st International Conference on Stormwater and Urban Water Systems Modeling, to be held February 21-22, 2008 in Toronto. Submissions are due by January 25, 2008 for the event, being held for the 17th year in Toronto. Displays and exhibits are also welcome and due by the same date. The annual conference brings together some 150 professionals from across North America and overseas to exchange ideas and experience on current practices and emerging technologies for water pollution control and water systems design and analysis. Topics include hydrology, hydraulics, water quality and receiving waters, from precipitation processes, runoff, pollutant build-up, wash off, surcharging pipe networks, and water distribution systems, to pollutant removal and impacts on aquatic ecosystems. Preceding the conference are two days of workshops on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Stormwater Management Model (SWMM/PCSWMM), February 19 and 20, also in Toronto. Full details on the conference and workshops are available from Bill James at Computational Hydraulics, 519/767-0197, FAX 519/489-0695, E-mail email@example.com, Web site www.computationalhydraulics.com.
