EUB scientist confirmed as Nobel laureate
EDMONTON, ALTA-Dr Stefan Bachu, a senior scientist with the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB), has been honoured as a Nobel Laureate for his participation on the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The IPCC was a co-winner, with former U.S. Vice-President Al Gore, of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. Dr Bachu, recognized as one of the world's leading specialists on carbon sequestration, was one of the lead authors on the IPCC's Special Report on Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage.
