A&WMA to present environmental nuisance conference in Toronto
TORONTO, ONT-The Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA) now has available a preliminary program for its "Environmental Nuisances: Noise, Light, Odour & Fugitive Dust" conference, to be held February 11-13, 2008, at the Renaissance Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre, Toronto. Environmental nuisances such as odours, noise, light and dust consistently top the subject list of public complaints to environment and other government officials. The A&WMA conference will look at technological developments, case studies and solutions to the challenges of environmental nuisances. Sessions will cover: policy aspects of environmental nuisance issues; specifics on noise, odour, fugitive dust and light; and management issues and stakeholder participation. The program will be of interest to federal, provincial and municipal authorities involved in environmental nuisance cases, as well as consultants and industry representatives concerned with abatement and/or prevention.
