Allergen, chemical-free cleaner/sanitizer found effective against superbugs

A major breakthrough in cleaning and sanitizing chemistry developed by a British Columbia scientist has been proven both effective and safe for the environment. HeavyLifters Network, a Victoria, BC firm acting as agent for the sale of intellectual property, says Essential Clean(TM) has a broad range of potential applications for industrial, commercial, household and personal products.

HeavyLifters also notes that tests of the formula by a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency laboratory succeeded in destroying a number of organisms, including MRSA.

Essential Clean(TM) is a proprietary blend of 19 steam-distilled aromatherapy-grade essential oils that contains no petroleum-derived chemicals, toxic chemicals, bleach, peroxide, heavy metals, perfumes or fragrances. Its natural formulation gives it a warm citrus and lavender aroma.

"We're extremely pleased that we have passed the standard sanitizer test by an Environmental Protection Agency approved laboratory," said inventory Gabriella Toeneboehn, a senior scientist with 30 years of experience as a researcher and testing scientist in the environmental testing and petroleum and edible oil refining industries. "In another laboratory test we actually killed 100% of a panel of six organisms including MRSA, which is fantastic news as well," she added.

MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) is one of a new generation of "superbugs" that do not respond to treatment by common antibiotics such as penicillin. Because it can live for weeks on common surfaces such as tables and doorknobs, MRSA is becoming a serious problem in medical, educational and other facilities. In fact, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recently reported that in the U.S., the number of deaths linked to MRSA has now surpassed those caused by AIDS

"Safe to touch and safe for the environment, this has immense implications from toothpaste to oven cleaners," said John Rafuse, executive vice-president of HeavyLifters Network.

HeavyLifters Network is accepting expressions of interest from qualified parties for acquisition of the Essential Clean formula to enhance existing products or create new products. Qualified parties will receive a bidder's package. More information is available from John Rafuse at HeavyLifters Network, 250/483-3244, E-mail, Web site,
