Air quality permit renewed for McCain frozen foods plant
FREDERICTON, NB-New Brunswick Environment Minister Roland Haché has approved the renewal of McCain Foods (Canada)'s air quality operating permit for its frozen foods plant in Grand Falls. The facility's current permit expires on August 15, 2007; the renewal will come into effect August 16 for a five-year period. The approval follows a review period that ran from January 23 to May 28, 2007 and included a public consultation period. The application for renewal and draft approval document generated no public comments. Documentation supporting the review process included a facility profile, draft and intended approvals, and summaries of issues raised and responses to those issues as applicable.
