Clearford's sewer system receives MOE technology assessment certificate

OTTAWA, ONT-Clearford Industries has been issued a Certificate of Technology Assessment by the Ontario Ministry of Environment (MOE) for the company's Small-Bore Sewer(tm) (SBS) system. The certificate, issued following a three-month evaluation and assessment under the MOE's New Environmental Technology Evaluation (NETE) program, confirms that Clearford's system offers significant design and materials improvements compared to traditional gravity sewers, and meets key design criteria recommended by the MOE, such as an average daily flow rate of 200 to 225 litres, a minimum design cleansing velocity of 0.15 metres per second, and a minimum nominal pipe diameter of 75 millimetres. Clearford's patented SBS is a watertight, small-diameter wastewater collection system designed to provide superior operational and environmental performance at a lower cost than that of conventional gravity sewers. The systems are designed and implemented by the company's wastewater systems division.
