The awards will be presented at the Canadian Pollution Prevention Roundtable in Winnipeg on June 14, 2007. The awards program was established in 1997 to support CCME's emphasis on preventing pollution at the source, rather than cleaning it up or treating it after it's been created. In 2003, CCME established a partnership with the Canadian Centre for Pollution Prevention (C2P2) to present the awards. Details about the awards program, including directions for applying, may be viewed on the C2P2 Web site, www.c2p2online.com/CPPR or the CCME Web site, www.ccme.ca. More information is also available from Sue McKinlay at the Canadian Centre for Pollution Prevention, 519/337-3425. Nominations in electronic format are encouraged; these may be sent to info@c2p2online.com.
