H2O Innovation acquires California water treatment firm

QUEBEC CITY, QUE-H2O Innovation (2000) has completed its acquisition of Membrane Systems Corporation (MSC), a California company involved in the design, manufacture, assembly, supply and installation of water treatment systems and facilities. Its clients include municipalities, industries, private developers and government/military departments, mainly in Florida, California and Mexico. The nearly $2.9-million (U.S.) transaction gives H2O an operating base in an area near San Diego known for its concentration of membrane technology development and expands the Quebec firm's market opportunities in the U.S., the largest growing market for water treatment technologies in the Americas. H2O reports that some MSC manufacturing contracts are already being fulfilled in H2O's manufacturing facilities in Ham-Nord, Quebec.
