Montreal brownfields centre invites letters of intent for Technoparc treatability studies
MONTREAL, QUE-The Montreal Centre for Excellence in Brownfields Rehabilitation (MCEBR) is inviting interested firms to submit letters of intent to conduct treatability studies on groundwater in Montreal's Technoparc sector. The MCEBR will allocate selected firms, up to $60,000 (Cdn) for their demonstration projects, which should be mounted between September 2006 and the end of January 2007. Technologies that meet the required performance parameters will qualify to proceed to the second stage, consisting of on-site pilot-scale demonstrations to verify their effectiveness under the Technoparc conditions. Letters of intent must clearly demonstrate the expertise and experience of the company, along with the technology proposed to address the specific contamination problem at the Technoparc site. Prospective candidates based outside Quebec must also show the Quebec content component; Quebec-based expertise must constitute at least 60%. The detailed call for letters has been posted on the MCEBR Web site, www.cemrs.qc.ca. Inquiries may also be directed by E-mail to email@example.com. Letters of intent are due by 2:00 p.m. on July 31, 2006 and should be E-mailed to the same address. MCEBR is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to stimulate and support technological innovation for the rehabilitation of contaminated sites.
