Sonic Environmental granted Ontario C of A for Terra-Kleen process

VANCOUVER, BC-Sonic Environmental Solutions has received a certificate of approval (C of A) from the Ontario Ministry of Environment (MOE) to operate the company's Terra-Kleen solvent extraction process as a mobile waste management system for the treatment of contaminated soils. The Terra-Kleen extraction process has over 12 years of operations experience in the U.S. and is fully approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Southern Ontario represents one of the largest and most important markets for sites contaminated with PCB and other chlorinated organics. Sonic's Terra-Clean process is designed for effective removal of persistent organic pollutants (POPs). The company is currently using this process at its British Columbia operations site to reduce material handling and gain additional regulatory approvals. Sonic has also developed the Sonoprocess(tm) technology for chemical destruction of chlorinated and other POP concentrates. Both provide non-thermal, low-cost treatment of toxic contaminants and hazardous waste materials at industrial sites.
