WOLFVILLE, NS-As part of its commitment to environmental stewardship, Xerox Canada has committed $250,000 to the KC Irving Environmental Trust at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Over the next five years, Xerox will contribute $50,000 per year to the endowment fund to support environmental education of Acadia students. The trust supports special programs and research initiatives by faculty and students of the KC Irving Environmental Science Centre and the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens, which contain state-of-the-art research laboratories, greenhouses, a conservatory, an auditorium, classrooms, conference facilities, and a Garden Room. The centre and gardens serve as important teaching and resource facilities concentrating on the ecology and native flora of the "Acadian Forest Region" of northeastern North America, and as a central campus meeting place and conference centre.
