TD contributes to Science World's planned outdoor environmental exhibit

VANCOUVER, BC-The TD Bank Financial Group is contributing to the development of a new Outdoor Science Park at the Telus World of Science facility on False Creek. As the leading corporate sponsor for this project, TD's contribution will be associated with the "Environmental Trail," a public section of the area focusing on the theme of environmental sustainability. It will encompass a series of exhibits at the north end of False Creek, designed to encourage self-guided, hands-on exploration directly in the elements, rather than in an enclosed space. It will be available both to visitors to Telus World of Science and those traveling by the Seawall through Creekside Park. Science World, a self-supporting non-profit organization, hopes to open the Outdoor Science Park in 2008. To this end, it is seeking the approval and support of the city of Vancouver, the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation and community leaders and associations, along with further financial support from individuals, the corporate sector, and government.
