Skye Resources names new EHS v-p

VANCOUVER, BC-Rick Killam has been appointed vice-president of environment, health, safety and community affairs for Skye Resources, a Vancouver-based international mining company. Killam is an environmental engineer with over 30 years experience in the design, environmental assessment, permitting, construction, operation and closure of mining projects and operations in North America, Latin America and Papua New Guinea. He comes to Skye from Knight Piesold Consultants in Vancouver, where he served vice-president, environment. During 2002 he was program director for the International Council on Mining and Metals, in London, England, and he is a former director of sustainable development and vice-president, environmental affairs and safety for Placer Dome Latin America, based in Santiago, Chile.
