CIELAP to hold third Partnering for Sustainability event
TORONTO, ONT-The Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy (CIELAP) will hold its third Partnering for Sustainability Conference on October 27 and 28, 2005 at the King Edward Hotel, Toronto. The conference will be held in conjunction with CIELAP's 35th anniversary celebration. The theme for this year's conference is "Working Towards Sustainable Urban Communities: Real People, Real Issues, Real Solutions...the Power of Partnerships." Among the discussion topics will be the role of partnerships in building sustainable communities; sustainability within the energy sector; waste and water management; and communications, marketing and education for sustainability. Confirmed speakers for the event include Gro Harlem Brundtland, former director general of the World Health Organization and former Prime Minister of Norway; and Glen Murray, Chair of the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRTEE).
