New corporate name adopted for water and sewer service provider

OTTAWA, ONT-Innovative Water and Sewer Systems has formally changed the company name to Clearford Industries and has continued from the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) to the Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA), both effective July 6, 2005. Clearford president and CEO Bruce Linton explained that the the company's proprietary Small Bore SewerTM (SBS) systems represent proven technology, verified by nearly 20 years of demonstrated reliable, economical performance. Moreover, he said the SBS technology is the firm's core intellectual property and is central to its delivery of water services. Accordingly, the name change was approved by shareholders at Clearford's most recent annual general meeting. The Ottawa-based company designs and implements wastewater management systems based on its patented SBS solid and liquid waste collection technology. For many communities the system can provide community sewer and water systems with superior performance at costs which are significantly lower than the cost of traditional methods. Clearford systems have been in operation in Ontario communities since 1989 and are approved by the Ontario Ministry of Environment; they also meet the U.S. Ten-State Standard.
