BC provides $2M to support fuel cell innovation
VANCOUVER, BC-The British Columbia government is providing $2 million to support hydrogen and fuel cell innovation. Fuel Cells Canada, a national industry association based in Vancouver, will administer the funding, which is expected to leverage additional investment by industry and the federal and municipal governments. The provincial support is aimed at jump-starting critical elements of industry's BC hydrogen and fuel cell strategy. Prepared by an industry steering committee, the strategy calls for, among other things, integration of provincial and national hydrogen and fuel cells strategies, development of the "hydrogen highway," a series of at least seven hydrogen fueling stations between Victoria, Vancouver and Whistler.
