SaskPower, Honeywell renew alliance for energy efficiency program

REGINA, SASK-SaskPower and Honeywell have renewed their strategic alliance for the delivery of SaskPower's energy performance contracting (EPC) program for another five years. As part of SaskPower's Energy Solutions portfolio, the EPC program is an energy management service offered to commercial and institutional customers to help them reduce their energy-related operating costs through the implementation of energy efficient upgrades to lighting, heating, cooling and ventilation systems. The two partners have provided joint EPC services since 1999, and Honeywell retains a group of employees in Saskatchewan specifically dedicated to working on the EPC program. To date, 11 projects with a total value of $21 million have been completed, yielding associated customer utility savings of $2.3 million annually. More information is available from Larry Christie at SaskPower, 1-888-536-0000, or from Robin Forbes at Honeywell in Toronto, 905/608-6083.
