ConTech, FLR expand recycling services through AF White acquisition

AYR, ONT-PCB Containment Technology (ConTech, www.contech.ca) and sister company Fluorescent Lamp Recyclers Technologies (FLR, www.flr.ca) have acquired AF White (www.afwhite.com), a Brantford, Ontario firm with more than 30 years of providing high-quality recycled transformer oil, as well as associated site services, to industry and utilities. The new, expanded company will offer clients services in the treatment and recycling of all transformer oils as well as the obsolete transformers themselves. ConTech and FLR specialize in recycling and treating PCB-contaminated oil and equipment and fluorescent lamps, as well as mercury and other hazardous waste. AF White will continue to work out of its recycling/treatment facility in Brantford, while ConTech and FLR continue to operate out of their treatment/transfer facility in Ayr, with a sales office and warehouse facility in Lachine, Quebec.
