Transport Canada to hold further public meetings on TDG Act review
OTTAWA, ONT-Transport Canada will be holding a second round of public meetings during October to discuss issues identified as part of its review of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, 1992. The review, as called for under the act, was launched in March in Toronto, with a first round of consultation meetings held during May in Montreal, Halifax, Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Sudbury (also in July in St John's). Next month's series of meetings will take place in Halifax (again), Moncton, Quebec City, Waterloo, Regina, Calgary and Victoria (dates and location details to be announced), with a closing meeting scheduled for November 9 in Ottawa.
