CIBC included as DJSW Index component for third straight year
TORONTO, ONT-For the third consecutive year, CIBC has been selected as an index component of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), effective September 20, 2004. Among the 28 banks worldwide whose performance met the DJSI World economic, environmental and social criteria, CIBC scored first among Canadian financial institutions and was among the top ten overall. The DJSI World includes more than 300 companies from 24 countries. Inclusion in the index is based on a thorough sustainability assessment that covers both general and industry-specific criteria.
