Workshop reviews developments in sustainable energy
TORONTO, ONT-The city of Toronto, Environment Canada and the Consulate General of the Netherlands are co-sponsoring a workshop titled "Sustainable Energy in Ontario-A Path Forward," to be held June 15 in Toronto at the Liberty Grand, on the Canadian National Exhibition grounds. Expert Dutch and Canadian speakers will provide progressive and practical information on the benefits of conservation and renewable energy, plus the benefits of integrating these into strategies for building renewal and development. Presentations will include case studies such as the Better Buildings Partnership, and there will be opportunities to view a number of new technologies in urban wind and solar energy. Earth energy (geothermal) will also be showcased. A number of speakers will be available by appointment for informal discussions the day before the workshop, June 14. The registration fee of $80.00 includes continental breakfast, networking lunch and a reception.
