Toyota makes three-year pledge to support Trout Unlimited Canada

TORONTO, ONT-Toyota Canada is making a three-year commitment to support the environmental activities of Trout Unlimited Canada (TUC), a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting Canada's freshwater resources. The announcement was made at TUC's 20th annual National Conservation Dinner in Calgary. As part of the three-year agreement, each year TUC will receive a Toyota vehicle which the organization can use to raise funds. Toyota Canada supports numerous other environmental organizations and conservation agencies as part of its worldwide commitment to environmental stewardship, noted managing director Stephen Beatty. TUC's Doug Cressman said Toyota's contribution will enable the group to plan more programs and initiatives across Canada. With approximately 4,000 members and over 20 chapters from coast to coast, TUC has been working to protect, conserve and restore Canada's coldwater resources for more than 30 years.
