Earth (Canada) signs licensing agreement with Weatherford Intl
MONTREAL, QUE-Environmental Applied Research Technology House--Earth (Canada)--has granted a licence to Weatherford International, allowing the latter company to manufacture and commercialize Earth's TORR(tm) technology for extraction of hydrocarbons from produced water. Earth (Canada) will continue to manufacture and sell its RPA(r) technology. The two-year licensing agreement is renewable, non-exclusive and worldwide (except Canada and U.S.). Weatherford specializes in the development of production-enhancing technologies for the upstream oil and gas industry. The firm has global leverage across more than 100 countries through its worldwide infrastructure. "This agreement with Weatherford will enable Earth to indirectly commercialize its TORR and RPA technologies in several, currently inaccessible, regions around the world," noted Earth (Canada) president and CEO Alain Ferland. Earth (Canada) also reports that it has relocated its Montreal headquarters, effective March 25.
