Office furniture maker achieves ISO 14001 at all its facilities
TORONTO, ONT-Teknion has become the first office furniture manufacturer to have all of its manufacturing facilities and administrative offices ISO 14001 certified. Twenty Teknion facilities are now ISO 14001 certified, including the company's corporate headquarters in Toronto and U.S. headquarters in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. "Today, clients are increasingly interested in how our office furniture products are manufactured and reused or recycled. They are demanding products created by environmentally friendly methods," company president and CEO David Feldberg observed. In recent months as well, Teknion demonstrated an industry-leading environmental commitment when it became the first office furniture manufacturer to attain GreenGuard certification for all major product lines.
