Contract awarded for restoration work at Sept-¿sles airport

SEPT-¿LES, QUE-Transport Canada has awarded Global Environnement a $741,350 contract to carry out environmental restoration work at the Sept-¿les airport. The contract involves the excavation of buried materials in the airport's former dumpsites and their placement in a more secure site. This restoration work is being carried out to maintain the groundwater quality. Including this project, Transport Canada has invested more than $2 million since 1996 in environmental restoration projects for the Sept-¿les airport.
